Our guest today is Vicki Suiter, President & CEO of Suiter Business Builders.
Vicki Suiter earned her undergraduate degree in business and finance from the Dominican University. She held positions as a lending officer with a national bank, was controller for an international training company, and earned certifications as a Business Coach, Trainer and Master NLP Practitioner before opening her own business in 1990. She chose to focus on the contracting industry for a very practical reason: her (then) husband was a contractor, and she realized that there were a whole lot of businesses that could use her business advice.
Over the years, Vicki has expanded the scope of her business and her services. When the doors opened, the company name was Suiter Financial Systems (she knows numbers!). In 2014 she changed the name to Suiter Business Builders to reflect the work she does today. In addition to running a fully-booked consulting practice, Vicki has become an in-demand speaker at construction and design industry conferences across the US and Canada. Her presentations for ASID, IDS, NARI and NKBA are consistently ranked among their most popular. Vicki has also been ranked at the top in association leadership: She has served for over sixteen years on the executive team for North Bay NARI, and was named NARI National Chapter President of Year in 2011.
Vicki’s articles and opinions have been widely shared in print and across the web. She is also the author of the book “The Profit Bleed – How managing margin can save your contracting business”.
