We’re diving into the story of Peter, a fisherman who had spent the entire night working with nothing to show for it. When Jesus told him to put his nets back into the water, Peter had every reason to question the instruction—but he chose to obey.
“Obey Anyways” is a conversation about what it looks like to trust God when His instructions don’t make sense, when you’re tired, when you’ve already tried, and when you can’t see the outcome.
We’ll explore the tension between what God asks of us and what we can understand, and why obedience often requires us to trust the One giving the instruction more than we trust our own circumstances.
Sometimes the answer isn’t to understand first. Sometimes it’s simply to obey.
📖 Luke 5:1-11
What if the very thing you’ve been trying to hide is the very thing God wants to heal?
In this powerful episode of Built Through the Breaking, we go straight into Luke 7:36–50—the story of a woman who walked into a room knowing she would be judged, yet she still came boldly to the feet of Jesus.
She didn’t come with a perfect past. She didn’t come with a spotless reputation. She came with surrender.
And instead of allowing the opinions of others to define her, she placed her shame, her pain, her story, and her worship into the hands of Jesus.
Because sometimes freedom begins when you stop trying to hold everything together.
We’ll also unpack Matthew 7:1–5 and confront a question we don’t always want to answer: Are we so focused on what’s wrong with everyone else that we’re missing what God is trying to do in us?
This episode is for the person who has been carrying too much, hiding too much, judging too much, or trying to fix everything on their own.
You can release it.
Your past is safer in His hands. Your pain is safer in His hands. Your story is safer in His hands.
What you’ve been trying to control, God may be asking you to surrender. 📖 Luke 7:36–50 📖 Matthew 7:1-5
What happens when the thing you’re trying to hide is the very thing God is asking you to bring into the light?
In this episode of Built Through the Breaking, we dive into the story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11–12 and explore what happens when hidden sin is exposed.
We’ll talk about exposure, consequences, confession, and grief, and how David’s story reminds us that hiding may feel safer in the moment, but it can keep us from experiencing the healing God wants to bring.
Remember:
You may be hiding it from people, but nothing is hidden from God.

🎙️ Built Through the Breaking | Episode 4: God Is Developing You in Private
There are seasons when it feels like nothing is happening—but God is doing some of His deepest work in the places no one else can see.
In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to be developed in private—how God refines us like gold, and uses seasons of waiting, testing, and preparation to transform us into His image.
Just because God hasn’t revealed it yet doesn’t mean He isn’t preparing you for it. The private season has purpose.
If you’re in a season where you feel hidden, delayed, or like God is taking His time, this episode is for you. 🤍

🚨 LET’S BREAK UP WITH SIN
Temptation usually looks inviting—not dangerous.
In this episode, we’re walking through Proverbs 7 and taking a closer look at how temptation can entrap us, how easily we can be drawn in, and why guarding our hearts matters so much.
It’s time to stop flirting with what God told us to leave behind.
