We are keeping it simple with this one and referencing Linda Ellis' poem "The Dash". You have one life. Make it your absolute best, at all cost.

The Dash

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning… to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own, the cars… the house… the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard; are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that still can be rearranged.

To be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile… remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash, would you be proud of the things they say about how you lived your dash?

Today, we carry on the conversation of the Scarcity Mindset. It's not always necessary to think "what can I get rid of to improve my position?". The question should be "What can I add to my life to improve the situation?". It often yields better results to add something to your life to replace that thing that is causing the dilemma.

Success inside of whatever it is you are striving for, is directly related to the sacrifices you make along the way. Those sacrifices represent the commitment you are willing to make for the greater good of reaching your goals. Commit to the targets you set for yourself and remember the gratifying reward on the other side. Let those offerings stand for the personal connection you have with your mission to succeed in whatever that may be.

I know what you're thinking - "Why does Michael hate pancakes!?" But in this episode we develop a mental trick you should program yourself with. Inside of daily conversation and communication, when we seem flustered or overwhelmed, our speech skills seem to take a back seat and we begin to use phrases such as "umm", "uhh", and the ever popular "like". Instead of stalling with these filler words, take a second to remain silent and gather your thoughts to get your point across more effectively.
