Dan kicks off the hour by continuing his conversation about how a Wellesley, Massachusetts high schooler was viciously bulled and attacked by fellow classmates. The teen was ambushed and then punched, kicked, elbowed, spit on, and urinated on. The attack has spurred massive outrage and a protest over school bullying. Wellesley school administrators say they have done everything they can to address the bullying. Have they? How should school bullying be handled?
The second half of the hour Dan dives into this third topic of the evening:
Systematic Failure.
Philadelphia authorities say a woman was raped on a train near the city while passengers stood by and watched and made no effort to help, not even to dial 911. Surveillance footage in the train car clearly shows that passengers had an opportunity to act but failed to do so. Recent reports say the rape suspect is here in the U.S. illegally. Is this another example of how our immigration system has failed us?
