Bum Chats

Linda was a calm and pleasant old lady that has been homeless with her husband for a few years now. She shares a few very interesting stories of what it is like to be a homeless female. She also shares her experiences being homeless and her plan to get out of her situations with her husband.

Hawk (his actual name on his ID), has spent only 3 years of his last 20 outside of a jail. He mentioned being in jail was better off for him than being with his dysfunctional family growing up. He also shares his frustrations with the Springs Rescue Mission, Colorado legislation for the homeless community, and his plan to sue the mayor of Colorado Springs in federal court.

Met Allen under a tarp in mid March. His struggle is severe and his hope almost nonexistent. He wishes to get out of homelessness but his present condition and struggles seem to be keeping him at bay.

Eddie was a very calm and collected person. He has a very peaceful way of looking at the world and handling his homeless situation even though he has had to put up with some interesting things.

Montana hasn't been homeless long but with a beaten down body from spider bites to falling off roofs, he has himself in a rough place.

At 31 years old, Bowzer is the youngest so far. He was also the most charismatic and has an interesting idea on solving the homeless issue. With the suicide of his brother and liver cancer, he has found himself outside of what he wanted his life to be.

Born in a large dysfunctional family with a rough upbringing, Cami has been on the streets her entire life. She expresses that all she knows is the streets and nothing will change.
