R. P. James, a master of steamy erotica from about every angle of view â paranormal, alien, lesbian, alpha male, B&D, gay, group orgies, shapeshifters etc etc â takes a different turn with this new story. Opening with a self-evaluation of an unhappily employed man tired of his work and his boss and drenched in rain from a dash to the airport to catch a flight to an appointment that may possible lead to an advancement in his hired position, R.P. proves his flair for eloquent prose. While his writing is always classy in technique, rarely has he shown this degree of sophistication in sharing unspoken thought patterns of a frustrated young man who comes to grips with alternative sexual proclivities.
R.P. certainly knows his way around encounters in the physical sense â this ability to keep ideas fresh and credible is one of his hallmarks. But in this story BUMPED FROM MY FLIGHT he manages to describe a massage experience as well as any writer has ever produced â and then it goes on from there the way many massaged customers fantasize.
Instead of growing tired, R.P. James just gets better with every new story. Hopefully a full-fledged novel will happen soon â all of his many fans are waitingâ..Grady Harp, November 15
