Rez Gardi is a lawyer and the CEO and founder of Empower Refugee Mentoring Program. Empower organization is designed to help high school refugee background students reach university through mentorship. Rez is a former refugee and a strong advocate for refugee human rights. Rez Gardi is also the recipient of the 2017 Young New Zealander of the year award and has volunteered for the U.N, Red Cross Foundation, and Amnesty International. Rez is currently studying at Harvard Law School.
