Hai mohabat jazba jab talak aabaad hai
Wagerna saraab hai, ishq barbaad hai
Mana ke bewafayi ka lutaf apna hai
Par, tabahi kya kisi ki dili muraad hai
Kuchh ched bhi zururi hai ulfat mein, magar
Is se ziyada mahaul mein fisq o fasaad hai
Wohi hai qabil-e-mohabat, ai ‘Sahil’
Dil jis ka khul ke pur Jawaad hai
