The people of Weymouth are battling with the state government to prevent the construction of a natural gas compressor. They fear the toxic pollution from the compressor could increase disease risks as well as fear the compressor itself could explode in the densely populated area. They are working hard to make their concerns heard, however, the Baker administration continues to move forward with granting permits. Sensory Deprivation Tanks, otherwise known as Float Tanks, are growing in popularity nationwide. With stress levels on the rise, I wondered if there was science to back up the claims that relaxation, creative boosts, and pain management can all be achieved by a float session.
