These woods are still ours! Mike and Andrew continue their journey through the Jason Voorhees origin series Crystal Lake! Can the third installment right the shaky canoe left behind from the previous lackluster episode? Well this episode has bear hunting gone awry and a mom vs. mom showdown in the kitchen at the one roadside diner that nobody should ever eat at. If that’s not enough there’s also Neil Diamond singing – YEAH…but he’s singing I Am I Said – BOO! This episode is all over the place and then delivers a knockout punch that's jaw dropping! It’s BAM CRYSTAL LAKE!

The discussion never ends…it just carries on. Mike watches 31 horror movies every October. He’s revealing this year’s 31 flicks and Andrew is providing the commentary. Which movies were good? Which movies were terrible? Which movies were classics? Enjoy a scary good Halloween conversation with the BAM makers!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Andrew celebrates this year’s spooky season with John Carpenter’s seminal ghost story - The Fog! The BAM makers discuss their childhood encounters with this horror classic and its lasting impact. Andrew brings his signature nit-picking to the review (for a movie that he picked mind you) and then tells his own lighthouse ghostly experience before revealing a more frightening experience - he watched the 2005 version of The Fog! Meanwhile, Mike discusses the dangers of any ominous fogbank that is simultaneously filled with zombie-ghost-pirate-lepers, that’s one category of monster in this movie not four. It’s a frightfully fun movie review that has the BAM makers shouting, “JUSTICE FOR MRS. KOBRITZ” on a Halloween Special Burgers & Monsters!

Who’s ready to go to The Experience at the Packanack Lodge? Not Andrew and Mike who are frustrated and annoyed by the lack of direction and muddied waters in only the second episode of The Peacock streaming show Crystal Lake! A show that started with unlimited potential has been struck by a machete and brought to a screeching halt. Mike gets confused and thinks he’s watching Bates’ Motel…or is it the writers who got confused? Trust us, it’s a rough 53-minute watch but the BAM makers struggle on as they talk about bowling, Ralph, self-help, hummers, high school parties, and THE MEAT! These woods may still be ours but where this show is going - nobody knows! It’s BAM CRYSTAL LAKE!

Long time Friday the 13th fan, Mike, and rookie watcher, Andrew, discuss some of the history of the franchise and the new series as they get into spoiler territory for all the happenings with emotionally stable Pamela Voorhees and her lovable little scamp Jason!
Be warned: watch the episode BEFORE you listen to our episode! These woods are ours! It’s BAM CRYSTAL LAKE!

The Peacock streaming show CRYSTAL LAKE is almost ready to drop! Mike and Andrew prepare by visiting the movie that started it all 1980’s – FRIDAY THE 13TH! The guys discuss camp hijinks, pantry stalking, and the physics behind lopping someone’s head off with a cheap camp machete. It’s time for Crazy Ralph, disgruntled Kevin Bacon, the great score by Harry Manfredini, Betsy “I Only Hit Homeruns” Palmer and THE Jason to turn a cheapo horror movie into the classic that launched a slasher franchise! BAM horror at its finest for the Halloween season!

It’s an important point in Andrew and Mike’s friendship as they celebrate actually finishing a project! Mike talks about the importance of filling your pants with as much salt as possible before going out to hunt demons. Fears of shared toothbrushes and backwash side track the guys even more before they return to that age old question – Who was that girl in the bath tub in Dead in the Water? Was it Hailey or was it Amanda? Once they’re back on track the guys learn all about the fabled Devil’s Trap as they put the finishing touches on Season 1 of Supernatural.
Sam and Dean are racing to save their father from Meg and Tom and the yellow-eyed demon. They’ll need help from old friend Bobby Singer (1st appearance alert) and his knowledge of that Devil’s Trap sigil. There’s black-eyed demons, flying Winchesters, semi trucks, salt, and more! It all leads up to a shocking Season 1 cliffhanger in this week’s BAM – Michigan’s Premiere CW Supernatural Podcast!

A massive storm hits while Mike and Andrew record. Trust us, this was a real storm and not one of those fake podcasting storms people talk about. As things get dark and windy Mike shares with Andrew the Top 5 things that scare him more than tornadoes. Then Andrew treats himself to a good laugh and has too much fun with CSG 8R3. Then both BAM makers fumble through a recording made with endless mistakes.
Meanwhile, the Road So Far as brought the Winchester men nearer to their final confrontation with the yellow-eyed demon – he’s one mean S.O.B. Before that John has to face off with Meg and Tom (good demon names) for possession of the mythical Colt Revolver. Sam and Dean are on duty protecting a little baby named Rosie from becoming the demon’s next fiery victim. There’s plenty of drama, action, and family squabbling that all comes to a head with those three important words – TO BE CONTINUED…on this week’s BAM!

Andrew and Mike discuss long walk, The Long Walk, marriage certificates in foreign languages, and the surprise offer of a threesome from a waitress – on your birthday! Then Mike gets confused when he thinks this week’s episode is titled Dead Man’s Hand as he was expecting some form of Western theme with ghosts and poker games…but he is instead served up an episode about vampires…sexy vampires…doing sexy vampire things.
Speaking of vampires…it’s time to watch DEAD MAN’S BLOOD! Sam, Dean, and John are searching for a mythical Colt revolver that John needs to kill the demon that he has been hunting since his wife’s murder. However a group of vampires have stolen the magical weapon and it’s up to the three Winchester men to deliver a case of whoop ass to the undead. Sounds more exciting than it actually is…this week on BAM!

It’s an unexpected verbal Clash of the Titans as Mike and Andrew spend most of the hour debating the importance of this episode’s female lead character art house auction owner – Sarah Cole. Mike wants to take her out for a beer and then do some ghost hunting with the beauty while Andrew doesn’t buy the episode’s romantic angle at all. Spoiler alert – Andrew is wrong.
Sam and Dean are investigating a haunted painting owned by Sarah’s auction house. Everyone who comes into contact with the portrait of the Merchant Family meets a gruesome end. No matter how easy Sam and Dean think this case may be and no matter how many times they burn it…the damned painting cannot stay destroyed. It’s burgers, monsters, romance, and art on this week’s BAM!
