Jesus fulfilled the obligations under the law and gives all believers justification and righteousness through faith in His crucifixion and resurrection. 

These verses that Paul wrote are some of the strongest Christological verses. They explain who Jesus is in relation to the Father and why His sacrifice means for believers.

These verses offer some excellent Christology. These verses talk about the divinity of Christ. Paul asserts that all things were created by Jesus and for Jesus in an attempt to refute questions of His equality with the Father.

In this episode, I give the background of the city of Colossae and the context of Paul's letter to the Colossians. The content of this epistle is very similar to Ephesians. Paul's letter opens with verses about the divinity of Jesus in an effort to combat Gnostic influence. 

The book of Ephesians culminates in Paul's instruction to put on the full armor of God. 

Paul moves on from submitting within a marriage to other examples of submission.

Paul describes the biblical duty that husbands and wives have to one another. Women are called to submit to the spiritual authority of their husbands.

Paul describes walking with wisdom and how it ultimately results in submitting to one another in t he fear of God.

Paul here encourages the Ephesians to not only walk in the light but to be a light in a world of darkness.

Paul here give the Ephesians an exhortation to walk as followers of God, not partaking in the ways of non-believers.
