Another great addition to the wonderful Sam Casey series!

In Buried Secrets, book 8 of S.D. Tooley's Sam Casey series, Sam and her husband Jake are called to Hayward Bluff, South Carolina to help a friend held for murder. Carl Underer, woke up in an hotel next to a deceased woman with no idea who she is or how he got there. Jake is asked to come and to bring his wife, Sam to help in the investigation of the case. In an area where ghosts, treasure hunting, Indian and voodoo are the norm, Sam feels at home with her gifts. As with all her books, Buried Secrets, is a well written, well plotted and entertaining mystery. I love the characters and it moves at a steady pace. This is a wonderful series for those of you who love mysteries with paranormal elements. If you have not read any of the Sam Casey mysteries, I recommend you start because you are missing out on a good series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

Sam is in Florida

This time, Sam is away from her usual stomping grounds; she's in Florida because of an old friend of her husband. The friend called, from jail, without using his real name. It's up to Jake and Sam to discover why he ended up waking in a cheap motel lying next to a dead woman. As it turns out, the caller is a former director of the FBI and a good friend. The story involves a frame up, several more murders, a woman who changes identities as others change socks, a ghost, a family photo, and a treasure hunt. Some Civil War history and Florida geography are tossed in to further the intrigue. A smashing read!

You can't put it down

I loved loved loved it. This book is awesome the whole series is, I've reread all of them just to get ready to read this one. And I've gotta tell ya better then the first time. A Special thanks to this author for writing another great book

extremely long wait between last book and this one but worth the wait

thank you for bringing back a character I enjoyed reading... even though it was what 5 yrs or more... hope to see more.....
