God has called each of His people into a place of fellowship that is rooted in relationship rather than mere spiritual activity. Just as the Old Testament priests were called to stoke the fire and ensure its flame never died out, so we have been called to a passionate relationship with the Lord. We must learn to abide in Him in every circumstance. When we abide, our flame will be sustained no matter how the world tries to extinguish it. With every altar that is built and every fire that is kindled, you will find that the greatest sacrifice you can give is you.
