Burnout is something many of us are experiencing without even realizing that we are in the thick of it. Ever since the start of 2020, where we were forced to work from home, the lines between personal and professional got extremely blurry and there was suddenly a spike of burnout happening all over the world… because now you are dealing with adjusting to constant change, lack of boundaries, parenting and work demands all happening at once.
A mentor of mine once told me...
“Mat - we juggle balls in the air all the time, some balls are made of rubber (like work) that when you drop them, it will most likely bounce back up. Either someone will pick up your slack or it’s something you can recover from no matter how difficult might get. But some of the balls you juggle are made of glass (like your health, your relationships around you), that if you ignore these and drop them… they will shatter and they will not bounce back."
In this episode we address burnout head on and we talk about what researchers says we should do when we are experiencing it.
