Faith is seldom a straight line. Peter did many wonderful things for the kingdom of God but Peter also made many mistakes on his journey. God does great things through broken people.

Remember that we’re works in progress. Remember that God is the builder and designer, and life works better according to his plans. Remember that God is doing an incredible work in us.

The problem isn’t usually the knowing. Usually the problem is the doing.

One of the great gifts of Christianity is the promise that things do not have to be as they are now. Our hearts can be changed by the Christ.

How does a terrible person become a terrible person?

There really are only two options that I can think of.

They are born that way, or they become that way

When Ebenezer Scrooge was visited by the ghosts – he was terrified. He did anything he could to avoid hearing their message.

Charles Dickens brought the fictional Scrooge to life in 1843. And he painted such a vivid picture that we can’t forget it. How does this step in line Bibically?

The gratitude perspective is powerful. The disciples had a choice – will we respond in joy, or will we respond in fear?

Fear is easier for most of us – but joy is better.
