How can we become spiritual helpers; people who help other people in their journey of faith? We don't want to sit on the sidelines and watch as others slide through life.

You might not understand what an ancient Hebrew agricultural law might have to do with life in the 21st century, but it is more helpful than you'd expect. God doesn't just tell us TO help people; he tells us HOW we can do it.

God doesn't call us to use the tools we don't have to serve him. He asks us to use the ones that we do have! Are we using the opportunities God gives us?

We have more of almost everything than we can imagine. Why do we continue to believe we don't have enough?

We are impressed with tremendous acts of service: huge donations, self-sacrifice, moving to the mission field... God might be more impressed with a widow's mite or a cup of a cold water. Are we faithful in the little things?

We don't always understand what our work might do. God is using our little things to do big things!

We want to develop a heart for helping other people, like Jesus helped us. He didn't sit back and watch us suffer what we deserved! He didn't say, "I told you so!" Instead, he intervened in a helpful way.

It is amazing how God has created the world to teach us the lessons we need to learn. This week we look at a few specific lessons that God teaches us as we try to follow him.
