What happens when you're a lying, cheating, scoundrel, and your actions have driven you to the desert all alone? What happens if you're the one God has chosen to bless the world?

We often think that the opposite of faith is reason--but when God called Abraham to sacrifice his son, we learn a new answer to that question.

Every family has its stories. Our stories shape us into who we are. Today we begin a look at the big stories of the Old Testament--our stories--with a look at the beginning of all stories, the true story of creation told in Genesis 1-2.

Imagine the crowds that gathered around the cross. Some were there to see a gruesome show. Others were full of hate, cheering on the crucifixion. Some stood beside the one they loved. Yet Jesus was on that cross not just for his friends--but for all of us--and that cross changes the world.

We grow up dreaming of being a star athlete or astronaut or firefighter--but we don't spend very much time thinking about the *kind* of person we want to be. What kind of people are we called to be?

What kind of church do we want to be? What is the heart of our vision for the church?

Where are you on your journey? We all have ups and downs and moments where we are lost and found. This week, we'll think about 1 Peter 2 and John Bunyan's 1678 allegory that causes us to think about our journey with Jesus.

Too many of us know an "idea" of God that isn't actually God as he reveals himself. In our worship this morning, we'll look at the attributes of God in scripture and song.

It's the end. What do we do with Revelation? What does heaven look like? Where are we going?

We use the word "blessed" without thinking, but when you see the way that Jesus uses the word in Revelation, you might be surprised as to who is truly blessed!
