So, I had gotten a message stating, "the translator told the committee last year that you were hard-selling and you talked about "products" too much."

When I got this message, let alone from someone who has never given a presentation before, 12 months later, I was dumbfounded.

I needed to sit down and dissect what was actually said and look at it from devil's advocate.

Did I hard sell? A friend of mine said "even mentioning your podcast is hard-selling," which I think is absolutely ridiculous, but considering that all presenters and people talked about their work, their products, and the evolution of how they've transformed the game -- I was confused.  I didn't have a product to hard sell, but Thais looked at my story-telling as hard-selling, which was funny.

So did I hard sell -- no.  Did other people think I did? No.  10 months later....does that opinion matter? Absolutely not. Are you going to rearrange your presentation based on an anonymous source? No way. I'll take it as a grain of salt, but that doesn't change who I am, what I delivered, and I sure as hell don't give a damn about one meaningless opinion, 10 months later, compared to the thousands of HOORAYS -- and neither should you.
