• Illinois was approved for $43 million in federal reimbursement funds for two food programs designed to strengthen statewide food systems, but when the Trump administration took office, it informed the state that the remaining federal agriculture reimbursements still owed to Illinois would cease after Jan. 19. Now, two different pending Statehouse bills would encourage Illinois-run institutions to begin purchasing from small local farmers.

   

• Pro Com Services of Illinois, a Springfield-based debt collection company, has been acquired by CACi of St. Ann, Missouri.
