Marc Adams, Profitability & Growth Advisor is joined by Nadia Byer-Thomas. Nadia is the co-owner of 800Tech. She partners with her husband and together they bridge the gap between business and technology. Nadia and her husband have mastered the partnership type of business. They do so by clearly defining their respective business roles.
Nadia’s definition of success is defined as progression toward the goals that she’s set. The firm has become successful because they create a clear vision of what the company is, they continue to work toward the specific vision and they tweak and adjust to make sure they hit the target on a consistent basis.
One of the biggest challenges to growth is letting go. Nadia uses a nice analogy of letting go of the vine, Marc talks about “trusting the nanny!” What does that mean? You’ll have to listen in…
Nadia feels that the single most important quality needed to be a successful owner is the ability to listen. Not only to clients, but to your staff and your own inner voice. She concludes by talking about the importance of having an open mind and being open to listening.
