Week 3 gave us plenty to talk about at the quarterback position.

On this episode of The Breakdown with Chase Daniel, I’m going through my Top 6 NFL quarterbacks from Week 3 and showing you why each one earned a spot.

This week’s list features Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff, San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Washington Commanders QB Marcus Mariota.

But this isn’t just about stats.

We’re looking at what actually happened on the field — processing, anticipation, ball placement, pocket movement, decision-making and the throws that can completely change a game. I’ll show you what stood out on film and what each quarterback did to separate himself in Week 3.

Welcome back to another episode of The First Read. Week 3 of the NFL was an absolutely wild week. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens had an insane last second field goal to beat the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil. The Bills and Josh Allen survived against the Chargers. Justin Herbert and that Chargers offense really need to figure it out. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers did just enough to beat Joe Burrow as a last second strip sack saved the day. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs did not look good as the Vikings defense dominated in Tampa. Finally, the Broncos and Rams gave us an insane finish on Sunday night as the Broncos were able to get a wild win. From Deshaun Watson silencing the haters to Marcus Mariota beating the defending Super Bowl champions, we cover every single game from the NFL Week 3 slate and give a complete breakdown on what happened.
