So ya, about that Pandemic. When is it ending? Since the pandemic, we've had to change how we do things as a group. I'm sure you all have (thanks COVID). This episode revolves around how we used to do things and how we've had to adapt to the changing times of the long lasting COVID-19 shit storm that is the United States. Going from in person games every other week with pizza parties and great laughs to rigid(ish) schedules and computer problems has really been a hassle, but we do what we can. Rae, Drake and Monkey discuss what we like, hate and are ok with dealing with in the virtual TTRPG world. We'd love to hear what you use to do for games and how you've had to adjust m order to continue slaying dragons and the general population, you damn murder hobos. How do you like playing online versus in person and would you rather have a map in front of you, or use your wild imagination? Enjoy the episode and don't forget to subscribe, like and follow us wherever you're listening!
We're tired of the same old, same old. Also just REALLY tired. Alright everyone, we all know your stereotypical bards, rogues and whatnot. And that is exactly what this episode is about. We're tired of seeing these characters cropping up all over the place. However, we understand why. As new players, they are bound to create something familiar to them to get used to the system. I get it, you had a crush on Legolas in LOTR. We did too. It's natural. But you veteran's out there; shame on you! You know the system and how the game works. You have all of these resources at your disposal to create these unique characters, but you still go with the evangelical cleric. So let us know what unique character builds you've created that breaks the mold wide open. We love seeing that kind of stuff and so does everyone else. Enjoy the episode!
Have you wanted to roleplay as a horse? Ya, us neither, but here we are! Where do I even begin....... As a not prepared, random one shot our wonderful DM Rae decided to look on Reddit for a fun, simple one shot. This is where it all started to go downhill. We sincerely apologize to all horse lovers (not like that, weirdo) and we hope you enjoy this crazy adventure. We sure did. If you'd like to play the one shot campaign All The King's Horses for yourself, feel free to download the rules in the link below. Credit to u/SirDoctorKok for creating the rules for this one shot campaign.
Alright Rule Lawyers, You're Going To Love & Hate This. This time around we're diving into a few spells and class abilities in a segment we like to call D&D Court. We each present a case for why a spell or ability should be ruled a certain way (or multiple ways in the case of shape water) and then the rest of us judge accordingly. This is a heavy RAW vs. RAI episode and we know there are going to be some controversy, so bring it on! As always, it is up to your DM to make the final determination on what an ability or spell does, so make sure you check with them to see what they rule as legal or not. Let us know what you think in the comments below and if you agree with our rulings!
NPCs are cool right? Welcome to the second episode! I can't believe you came back after listening to that first episode...... but hey, that's great! This time around, we create NPCs using the NPC Creation Table in the Dungeon Master's Guide. Using the same rolls on the table, we all make our own version of an NPC and vote on which one is the best!
Let us know which NPC you choose for us to use in a future campaign or give us your own take on the same rolls we got!
