Busy Ladies

Today we will be talking about this season of Paying It Forward: whether it’s donating, giving, helping, sharing, doing…. ways that all of us can get involved.

It’s that time of year again! Schools from Kindergarten to College are back in session and assignments, readings, and projects have begun. For those of us out of school, does that mean we are done learning? How and where can we expand our learning experiences? What would you go back to school for? What’s something new that you are currently learning or would like to learn?

Being able to communicate effectively is the most important of all life skills. Be clear and concise and be confident in what you are going to say before you start communicating. Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another. It may be vocally (using voice), written (using printed or digital media such as books, magazines, websites or emails), visually (using logos, maps, charts or graphs) or non-verbally (using body language, gestures and the tone and pitch of voice).

Today we’re going to be talking about building confidence. Whether it be in your health, your career, or in your relationships! It is so easy to point out the negative, talk ourselves out of things, and not give ourselves enough credit. It’s time we stop looking for other people to build up our confidence and spend some time dedicating working on ourselves!

Today we are going to be talking about creating and living with a “home grown” lifestyle. We’ll be covering topics like where to start, costs, home gardens, do it yourself recipes, and urban farm animals! A strong trend is today’s lifestyle is self-sufficiency and living a more “homemade” and natural lifestyle. People are growing their own food, making their own cleaning products, and even raising animals for meat, milk, or eggs! I think I would like a couple of fruit trees but then I am afraid of what might go to waste and for me that defeats the purpose.

Today we are talking about Finding Your happiness. It is really common and quite easy to ask someone, “Are you happy?”. We usually respond, “Yes, of course I’m happy. I have a happy life.” But what if we really stop and think about our lives, in the moment? We are all so busy and moving so fast, we really don’t take the time to think about the things we do, if they make us happy, and if we really want to be doing them. We are going to talk about using tools to find our happiness, and focusing on it to better our lives.

Change is scary and we need to conquer those fears and tell ourselves we can do it. If you feel like you failed the first time, just look at how far you have progressed and pick up from there. Have confidence in yourself and a friend help you along the way. You have only failed if you have never tried!!!

We spend part of our lives trying to be more positive and joyful in everyday situations. We often wonder why this can be difficult for some and easier for others. A simple smile can certainly change someone else's day. Treating others with respect and a smile can add joy to your life and will definitely add to theirs.

In today's’ world most find people are more focused with outside sources instead of what is right in front of them. We have become a world that lives in the social media realm hiding behind a facade. The days of politeness have started to disappear, so let's talk about how we can begin the change within ourselves and hopefully pass on to others.

We found it very interesting to see if they celebrate Christmas like we do in the U.S. and what their traditions include. Family traditions are important to us and we share what some of ours are.

The Holidays are upon us and many of us will be doing just that.
