Yesterday, our new Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced Monday as a public holiday. Similarly during the election, the 18th and 19th of November were public holidays to allow Malaysians to go home and vote. The question for many employees is: are these public holidays applicable to them? Or is it just an option for employers to decide on their holidays?
