This was a really amazing opportunity for our little podcast and an episode you absolutely do not want to miss!!!
Ken Bruce has written the most incredible book about Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room! It is chock full of stories and info that was shockingly new to me, and I feel like I have read a lot of Disney books! You really should stop reading this and go order the book. You can thank me later!!!!
Andrew and I spent over an hour just chatting away and I really could have gone on for at least one more! From the genesis of the attraction, to Walt making changes along the way and right down to which is the best Tiki Room...you'll have to listen to find out!
And if you've not familiar with Ken, he's also an legendary animator who's worked for Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks...seriously...Google him! He's incredible! And now I'd like to think he's a friend!
So find a quiet spot, sit back and enjoy! And if you feel the urge, maybe leave us a little review wherever you podcast!
If you do, maybe Ken will come back!!!!
Better late than never! And we missed a week which I am sincerely sorry . I will try to do better!
But the reason for a week with no show was because both Andrew and I were in Disney on our regular night! We actually met in real life. Neither of us AI…so that’s something! We had a wonderful meal at Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian and a great time was had by all!
Join us for this episode where we talk about both of our trips, as well as some of our ever popular opinions about Disney stuff! (Popular might be a strong word!)
It's like hanging out with us on a Sunday night on the front porch swing and enjoying the late evening Disney breeze. Maybe there's a train or ferry whistle off in the distance!
I’ll bring lemonade!
Well, it's not quite a cage match, but this week Andrew and compare and contrast Apples and Churos! I have never been to Universal (cue gasp) so it's completely unfair of me to give my opinion...but I am going to do it anyway! I will also state for the record that I am in no way against Universal parks and am truly looking forward to going and taking it all in.
But until that happens, you are stuck with us just speculating wildly! So have fun, dear listener, and maybe let us know if you love Universal, or is there only room in your heart for one park!
Join us on an adventure into the history of standing in line at good ol' Walt Disney World! It is probably the complaint Disney addresses most frequently. And this week we go back to the beginning to see how Disney World has dealt with the ever growing population of park goers. It's a wild ride into how Disney handles the river of flowing people moving to an from the rides. oh. sorry...attractions.
And if you are enjoying these podcasts, please join us LIVE on YouTube or Facebook in the chat and be part of the show. It would also be amazing if you'd tell a friend and maybe even leave us a little review! Thanks and have a REALLY big day!
So do not be afraid to listen if you are not a golfer, there are a few surprises in here that will satisfy your needs even if you hate golf. And if you are a golfer, well then proceed as we will talk about options, history and even pricing at these amazing courses! Walt was not a golfer, but he knew the importance of offering leisure activity for guest that would be coming to his Florida Project. A spot for golfing was included in his plans from the very beginning! So sit back and enjoy! As Dean Jones sang in the Kraft presents Walt Disney World's 10th Anniversary special he's "Gonna be active and work on my game!" Well. So are we !!!
How much, Disney or otherwise, stuff have you accumulated over the years? If you are like me - it's a lot! And all of it is precious to me...but not in a Gollum like way! This week we talk to Moose Moran, a certified collecting expert who runs through what collecting is, whether it's about financial gain or personal joy and maybe even how to get it all organized! OK, well, maybe there is no hope for me getting organized, but I still dream of a well oiled display machine! And if you enjoy our weekly musings, maybe give us a like and a positive review. And of course the best way to support the show is letting a friend know! The more the merrier!!!
23 Episodes! WOW! And what a way to celebrate! This week, in addition to getting excited about some of the new SXSW Disney announcements, we chat about my recent trip to Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival. Spoiler alert - it was incredible! It really is a time when Epcot puts it's best foot forward! The topiaries, the food...it might be my favorite festival. Though frankly I think I say that about every festival as soon as I return. But I do believe that this festival and the Holidays really dress the park up in the best way possible...although, Festival of the Arts. Nevermind. I'll skip that rabbit hole and just let you enjoy the conversation! And don't forget to join us each week LIVE so you can be part of the show. Just follow us on all of the social medias at But MOSTLY Disney so you'll never miss a chance to put your two cents in. And head over to the But MOSTLY Disney YouTube channel for the full video of the festival! And then check out Andrew's channel - Mousegears _ for all his videos!!! We'll keep you bust all week long!!!
Do your feet hurt after a day at the parks? Back sore? Tough to get out of bed for rope drop on your second day? Well this week we should be able to help you out! Stephen (he let us drop the Dr. for conversation purposes...but I think I would keep it if it were me) not only has a podcast (Happily Eve Active - great name!) and a book, but also a companion course on how to stay health for your Disney trip. Or really any other trip but you know us - MOSLTY Disney! We get to talk about strategies for before and during your trip! It's an awesome show and I think you are really going to love it!
This is gonna be a good one my friend! Join us we head back in time to try and walk a little in Walt's shoes, or maybe someone walking Walt-adjacent, in order to peek in and see what was like to do the planning and the dreaming required to make the original idea of and Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow come together! Walt had already done a theme park so this was truly going to be something completely different. Walt's vision for this is one of my favorite things to talk about and I hope you enjoy it as well! Also, if you are enjoying these then maybe give a quick review to help move the along!
On this Episode we are joined by our good Friend Caleb Joshua Hill from Fantasyland Adventures to talk about the Disney Store of our childhood…well, maybe my children’s childhood. Our family spent a lot of time roaming the Disney Store at our mall and letting the merchandise and animatronics give us a little bit of magic when we couldn’t be at the parks. And while the stores have all but vanished,, they live on in our hearts and minds…as well as a few physical locations on this big old ball. So join us each week as we delve into some, MOSTLY, Disney topics. And don’t forget to jump in live each week in the chat to be part of the action!!!!
