In Luke 4:1-13, Jesus, who had just started his ministry, spent forty days fasting in the wilderness. During this time, Jesus experienced temptation by the devil but resisted all of the devil's attempts. We all have an opponent too who constantly seeks to derail us from Christ-like thinking. What can we learn from Jesus to help keep our minds focused on godly thoughts?

Together, they get to know the who, how, and why behind the Icon Church plant happening here in Plano, Texas. Icon's mission is to "Reflect Jesus, Embrace Harmony, and Create Community". Next time you see Dave, his family, or anyone from his team, give them a high-five and tell them they're doing a great job!
Growing up as an Asian-American, Dave always felt like a cultural misfit. He was also a pastor’s kid who struggled with bitterness toward the Church. Over time, God used several people in Dave’s life to help him see the truth of the gospel and that he was not a misfit but a bridgemaker.
Dave has served in pastoral roles in several churches across the country. In 2021, he received his Master’s of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and began to plant Icon Church with his wife, Lynn.
