The last time I listened to The Killers' superb debut album Hot Fuss had to have been in middle school, and it has aged beautifully since. Today I talk about how the band's signature hit "Mr. Brightside" spent roughly 4.5 years on the UK charts and became an anthem for millennials the world over, and I fondly recall trying to watch wildly inappropriate teen dramas like The O.C. and One Tree Hill for their fabulous soundtracks.

When I was 10 years old, I heard Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" for the first time. In no time, the punk trio enraptured me and terrified my parents with their 2004 concept album American Idiot, arguably the defining album of the Bush years. Today, I talk about how this album saved Green Day from the threat of obsolescence and killed any interest I had in teenybopper music. I also answer the question whether this album holds up in the age of Donald Trump (spoiler: it does spectacularly.)
