Cal Clement is a native Montanan and outdoorsman. He is a Marine Corps veteran of the Afghanistan campaign and is currently employed by a class 1 railroad spanning much of the western United States. From an early age he was captivated in a wide range of literary works from C.S. Lewis and Tolkien to Tom Clancy and Stephen King. The art of literature has always fascinated him and the escape of adventure within a book has shaped his outlook for as far back as he can remember.

Too many of us spend our lives before fifty doing a combination of some or all of the following: working, being mom, volunteering, driving to events/doctors/grandparents, family admin services, social director, cooking, wifing; that when we hit this age we’ve spent so much time on helping other people realize who they are that we forget who we are. James Noll has worked as a sandwich maker, a yogurt dispenser, a daycare provider, a video store clerk, a daycare provider (again), a summer camp counselor, a waiter, a prep. cook, a sandwich maker (again), a line cook, a security guard, a line cook (again), a waiter (again), a bartender, a librarian, and a teacher. Somewhere in there he played drums in punk rock bands, recorded several albums, and wrote dozens of short stories and a handful of novels.

From an early age, I have been passionately curious about human behavior and a human’s potential to become the best version of themselves.

My own search for personal growth drove me to pursue this endeavor after I raised my children. I decided to go back to school and with the support of my husband, what started as an academic pathway turned into a transformational journey for me!
