With the financial crisis looming, Sophie becomes embroiled in a multibillion-dollar merger that could make or break her career. The problem? Three men at the top of their game, each with very different reasons for advancing the merger. Now Sophie doesnt know whom to trust or how far shell go to get ahead.

Good book, bad Narrating
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The narrator sounds just like my amazon kindle reading to me. Very robotic and same mono-tone to end each sentence. It's as if there's no emotion in the reading. Hard to keep track of which character she's doing a voice over for. It's difficult to focus on the story when my brain keeps wondering, "is this program reading the text of the book or is this an actual person reading"?
Would you be willing to try another one of Angela Dawes performances?
Hell no
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointed. I really wanted to try audible.com and heard this book is very good, but the narrator sounds so robotic and made it unenjoyable. It honestly made me wonder if Audible.com employees listen to these books and rate them internally before releasing them to the public.
Any additional comments?
I've listened to audio books from other services and they have multiple people doing the voices of other characters. Perhaps audible.com should consider this as well.
