Join Lissie from Near & Far Mobile Bar as she speaks to the team about this unique creation. Husband & Wife were sitting around in the sunshine sipping on some bubbles, they started talking about owning there bar again and began looking into how they could make it happen.

As they stood in the sunshine, they started thinking on deciding to convert a horsebox. A lover of upcycling, recycling, and repurposing, we wanted to make something beautiful from something that could have a new lease on life.

The Near & Far Bar Horsebox is based on a Beaufort Rice Horse Box. Our Horsebox was originally used to transport horses in London in the 1930's. Unloved and unused, our trailer was found in a field. The trailer has been completely renovated inside and out, transforming it from what was a dilapidated sad looking trailer into a classy, premium cocktail bar.

Everything on our Horsebox was selected by Matt and me, down to the plug sockets, and so much love, care, and craftsmanship went into this amazing conversion.

The Drain Doctor is not something we think about every day, we call him only when something goes wrong, Anna was here to talk to us and give us some advice, this taken from the website.

We are all guilty of washing that frying pan oil down the sink after cooking, however, greases, oils and fats from cooking can quickly cause all sorts of issues. They are trying to bring the most environmentally friendly products to Fleet which remove the need for plastic packaging, support a greener lifestyle.

Kate says ...In July 2018, a few folks on Keep Fleet Clean (a Facebook page that I ran to share plastic free-living ideas) were lamenting about how great it would be to have a ‘zero waste’ shop in our neighbourhood. When I tentatively said I’d look into it, I didn't realise that 6 months later I would be running one myself!

Having been a primary school teacher for 11 years and never seriously thinking I would do anything else; this is a whole new kettle of fish! I have learnt a huge amount and I have been on a learning curve the size of a Helter skelter. Yet, I have genuinely enjoyed it.

The best thing about this whole venture - alongside being able to help others to engage in a zero-waste life and make changes - however small - has been the amazing response from our community. So much support, encouragement and help from people all over and from all walks of life.

It is with pride that we hold a 5* hygiene rating.

The team had a great time talking to Debbie Whitehouse owner of Willow & Nutmeg, she was a little nervous to begin, but the team got the conversation flowing with her and helped ease her into the process, and true gems of one how the name came about, find out by listening.

A great conversation with this inspiring lady who had a vision suddenly in the middle of the night, as we find out in the conversation with Serena

The business was started in 2019 and has grown from strength to strength. She has always had sensitive skin and couldn't use store-bought products.
