The trek through the Seretas Mountains is fairly simple, though with each step, Crix becomes far more uneasy. His hosts are hiding something, and with his powers starting to unlock, he sees the truth right before his eyes. 

Crix is still in the city of Jurast, but not all is as it seems. He makes his way with Docern to meet with Wisely, before making his trek through the caverns of the Seretas Mountains, to the village of Krelk on the other side. 

Following his arrival in the city of Sunshire and his meeting with Bartholomew Constellats, Kurros makes his way across the Sariak and over to the stockade, where he is eager to get to work constructing the prison of souls. 

As the boat trudges along the Sariak River into Sunshire, Kurros is immediately introduced to the secrets hidden in plain sight. Though already in immediate danger, Kurros's gift for oration, followed by his quick reasoning, may be just what everyone need. 

After his encounter with Vesya's Champion, Crix heads south and finds himself in the city of Jurast. Known for the Three Rings and as a haven for those who once served divine masters, Jurast is ripe with others who would wish to create an uneasy atmosphere for Crix as he heads through the mountains on his way to Krelk. 

Crix awakens in the Kerringes Bluff, having just underwent the great transformation. His essence was now bound to Dun-I and his servitude to Derrien was near absolute. Now, with a new threat hovering over him, Crix must think quickly on his feet, lest meet his end just as his beginning begins. 

Rosali and Kurros make their way toward Sunshire, where construction is underway on Derrien's prison. However, the path over the Seretas Mountains proves to be treacherous, with another God-Touched servant watching their every move. 

The two priests of Derrien, Kurros and Crix, make their way through the Kerringes Bluffs, only for their world to be changed. Several forces are at play, but the plan of the Gods requires both of these two to finally come to fruition. 

As she wakes up in another realm, Virtrialis is forced to come to terms with what happened in the Grove Estralias, and who Drusilla Whisperleaf had become. 

Virtrialis and Drusilla are in grave danger, surrounded by menacing creatures inside the Grove Estralias. With not many options left, the two are forced to reconcile with their powers, and assist one another in cleansing the forest of the corruption.
