2- CISA – the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency announced that they will be hosting a public workshop to discuss basic cybersecurity measures that should be in place to ensure critical infrastructure systems meet the minimum level of cybersecurity needed to protect essential operations. The feedback from this workshop will help inform the final version of the Cybersecurity Performance Goals, or the “Common Baseline.”

2- The U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration has a new Maritime Administrator! Rear Adm. ANN PHILLIPS, USN, Ret. was confirmed by the United States Senate today as the 20th Administrator of the DOT Maritime Administration! Rear Adm Phillips is also the first woman to be confirmed to the role!

3- On May 17 – the CMTS – Committee on the Marine Transportation System will be co-hosting a virtual panel discussion with the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) on current infrastructure investments and meeting future Marine Transportation System requirements - this webinar is taking place during National United for MTS Infrastructure Week.
