We are spending the summer studying the book of 1st John. In our “By This We Know” series, we are exploring all the ways that John reassured us in his letter that we can know we have eternal life through Jesus Christ. John’s first epistle blends a spectacular balance of both making us feel loved and calling us to live to a higher standard. In today’s sermon, we study 1 John 5 and the power that we have as followers of Jesus. The world will bring opposition, but we have faith, we have Christ, we have authority through Him, we have His Word, and we have prayer.
