We are getting back to the basics of our faith, knowing that mastering the basics is the key to any endeavor in life. In Hebrews 5:11-6:3, the Word rebukes us for not growing beyond the elementary principles of Christ, but then encourages us to press on to maturity by building upon these principles. Each week, we will address one of the elementary principles of following Jesus. In today’s sermon, we teach our eighth & final principle: We, The Church. God never intended the Christian life to be lived alone. The global Church unites us in Christ, and the local church becomes where we live out that faith in community. It’s where we grow, worship, and walk out our purpose together. Alone we may survive—but together, we truly thrive.
