In our “By This We Know” series, we are exploring all the ways that John reassured us in his letter that we can know we have eternal life through Jesus Christ. John’s first epistle blends a spectacular balance of both making us feel loved and calling us to live to a higher standard. In today’s sermon, we will focus on the scriptures found in 1 John 1:5-10 where we’ll explore the powerful themes of light and darkness, sin and forgiveness - and what they reveal about walking in true fellowship with God.
