By the Pen

Welcome to the JRR Tolkien edition of Noteworthy or Notorious. As always, I’m your host, Ashley Silvey, and this is a bonus episode where I talk about my first exposure to the author and their impact on me personally. Noteworthy or Notorious is meant to be a companion to the author’s episode so that you have both the academic and practical sides.

Through the centuries, our world has been prolifically impacted by the power of the pen. Welcome to the second episode of By the Pen, a podcast where we highlight some of the world’s most impactful authors -- whether their work was noteworthy or notorious. I’m your host, Ashley Silvey, and this week we are introduced to John Ronald Reuel (J.R.R. Tolkien).
