Welcome to the most unusual few days we have ever had as a nation. The virus which was transmitted has caused shut downs and closings of all kinds to help curb the transmission of the virus and hopefully shorten its life in this country. Needless to say the closings and postponements are many. However there are 2 places that are open and both are outdoors oriented and both very beautiful, peaceful, and serene.In West Palm Beach, Mounts Botanical Gardens is open and they stated that they are following all national, state, and local health department guidelines. The other place is an unusually serene setting and that is The Morikami Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, they too are following all guidelines. At a time like this, maybe those two places can offer some beauty without close enclosed crowds, and bring some joy to those who are well and able to follow all the guidelines.

We also mention that Apple Stores across America are closed, but they are still offering online help for all who need it.

West Palm Beach gets BAM, Books & Music festival, Boca Raton welcomes "Waking Kya" a very interesting story featuring Nigerian Born Linda Obasi as Abeba, West Palm Beach will be laughing with Marlon Wayans soon, Delray Beach will be tapping with Tommy Tune soon, Delray Beach will also get a special evening of Donna Summer music, Boca Raton will enjoy a Nat King Cole Tribute called Soul & Cole, West Palm Beach whoops it up with the Rib Round-Up & Music festival, last but not least, Boca Raton gets the Festival of the Arts Boca.

We are very close to the beginning of not only a new year, but a new decade. I am not so much into resolutions, but I am into putting myself in a position to excel, to be seen as a multi-talented person who can do many things. As we slide into this fresh new time, we can all stop to be grateful, that is a big positive! If we keep it simple and do everything we said we would, those little things right there are huge accomplishments. So this year I want to be more of an encourager. I enjoy that and have been told I am pretty good at that.

The last few weeks have been going at a pace that has not existed before now. One aspect of the pace is an agreement I have made to go back on the radio in Palm Beach County to do mornings on The True Oldies Channel, music primarily from the 60's & 70"s from all the genres of music. I will have to cement my life and time like never before, I know we can make it happen for sure, it will be tight though.

Our entertainment & culture here is poppin' and it is only getting better, In Miami New Order is coming to town for 4 big shows, West Palm Beach gets the ballet standard with George Balanchine's NUTCRACKER, in Boca Raton a Gallery is presenting "Lagerfeld:The Chanel Shows", Delray Beach welcomes a Tribute to Nat King Cole & Friends, in Jupiter the smash Broadway Hit "Chicago" will hot the stage soon, Delray Beach welcomes Donna Summer's Sister Mary Gaines Bernard for a Donna Summer Celebration, she is great, I know her and have seen her performances, she was back-up for Donna for 30 years, in Aventura the hilarious show "My Son the Waiter: A Jewish Tragedy" is around util January 12th.
