As the year draws to a close it’s time to reflect back on the goodies served up to us by the finest soulful house producers on the globe.
I’m sure there won’t be too many surprises, although with this being my show I get to choose my favs from the year.
It’s fair to say there wasn’t much disagreement in the chatroom during the show. There are a couple of naked beats in the session which I apologise for, it is easy to get carried away in the chatroom before realising you should have dropped the next tune on the last set of 32′s!
I was surprised at how many quality vocal tracks were released this year as it would be fair to say that the soulful scene isn’t as big as it was, especially with the Deep house sound growing at the moment.
Great to see tunes from the likes of Reel People, The Layabouts and of course the rear guard, Dave Lee, Spen, Josh Milan. Sean McCabe was in fine form again this year with three tracks in this mix. The guy is a legend already. Don’t forget to tune in every Thursday 10am to 12pm GMT on Pressure radio to catch these sets live. Be part of history in the making.
