Today's message is a teaching of Jesus' parable of the Wheat and the Weeds. Pastor Zack takes this short parable and expounds on the image of good seed, bad seed, wheat and weeds. Be careful to listen and learn, or as Jesus often said, "He who has ears let him hear."

Pastor Greg teaches from Matthew 13:1-24. He goes beyond the concept of the sower to the central point of the four types of soils. Jesus revealed the mystery of the Kingdom to the disciples and challenges us to reflect on the soil of our heart.

Pastor Greg begins a new series simply entitled "Parables."

We may be familiar with this term, but today's message will take us deeper in our understanding of why Jesus switched His discourse style of teaching to using parables.

Pastor Brian gives us the "prequel" to the upcoming series called Parables. The focus is from the Book of James. To prevent complacency, we must learn to show Christ no matter what the cost.

We need to "shut up" and listen more. Stop playing favoritism. Learn that when we see a need, we step up and do it right then.

In Part 2 of this Advent series, Pastor Greg takes us deeper into the Isaiah account in chapter 9:6 and Luke 2. We take a look at six pictures of Jesus:

1. As Baby

2. As Wise Teacher

3. As Miracle Worker

4. As Suffering Servant

5. As the Resurrected One

6. As King of kings and Lord of lords

Each picture is true but if we focus only on one picture, we only understand one element of Jesus' character. We need all six to see the total reality of Jesus' life and mission on earth.

The reality of being in total darkness and then light bursts in is what Isaiah is describing in chapter 9:2-11. Have you been there: Despair, hopelessness, depression?
