Ps Melanie teaches about the impacts of our inner thoughts on our physical and mental wellbeing. How do we respond to the negative words of others? These are thoughts generated from outside. The there are the ones generated from the inside, sometimes by our flesh and sometimes by unwanted spirits.

Many mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, are caused by a lack of connection with other people. Ps Melanie explores ways that we can keep connected and be mentally healthy.

Ps Melanie brings an encouraging message on gratitude and mental health, as gratitude is our greatest antidote against offence. We are encouraged to praise Him in the promise and in the suffering.

Ps Paul brings a powerful message about mental health, encouraging us that God loves us in our mess and does his greatest works in our mess.

Ps Mel encourages us to guard our own heart as God has asked us to. We are responsible for guarding, tending, watching over and keeping our heart.

Tim Spoke about how easily people take offence today. He used as an example the offence Jesus’s brothers and family took in his early ministry, and that of the pharisee’s throughout his entire ministry. Tim spoke about the need to guard our hearts against offence.

Sometimes life’s circumstances lead us to a place where we take offence at God. This leaves us isolated and without hope, the challenge is to take the offence to God and find his true heart.

Ps Melanie shares about how we need to take up God’s help to overcome offence. When we give God access to the places of hurt in us, He turns our brokenness in to life.

Ps Pat challenged us to be engaged in our community in totally practical ways (e.g. mowing a neighbours lawn, or delivering a new neighbour a meal). This, he said, represented us being salt and light, and the Holy Spirit can move on these simple kindnesses.

Ps Melanie explains how we can make the right decisions by using wisdom, the principals in His word and leaning in to the Spirit of God, as God shows us the right way to go.
