We are a culture that obsesses about the shape of our lives. Do we have this or that? Did we look the part? Do I have enough talent or gifting? But what if that wasn't what it was all about? What if God had plans for what would actually give your shape LIFE!

In Genesis 2 and in Acts 2 we see God breathe into the shape of Adam and the shape of the church. It wasn't until he breathed life into the body of Adam and the body of Christ that we saw them go to work.

We can't wait to spend a few weeks around the Holy Spirit!

As we transition from our Teach Us To Pray series to a series of talks around the Holy Spirit, we look at the way Jesus ends his teaching on prayer in Luke 11. He says, "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Jesus wanted us to know, that when he left this earth He would send the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and shape our lives. It was almost as if he wanted us to pursue the Holy Spirit in prayer. Hint: He does.

We had such an amazing time with Special Guest Colin Blois from C3 Philly, which is launching in 2020. What an amazing question for you and I... "Is life a gift or a test?" The answer to that question will shift so much in our everyday living. We pray your encouraged as you listen!

What does the Lord's prayer teach us about who God is and about his posture towards us in prayer? Listen in as we talk about the second half of the Lord's prayer and what it teaches us about prayer, including the character and goodness of God. We'll be in Luke 11.

How many of us know more about prayer than we actually practice in prayer? Well then aren't you glad the disciples asked Jesus how to pray? The disciples watched Jesus do and teach amazing things. And they began to connect some dots. So they asked him, "Teach us to pray." It was the only thing they asked him to teach them how to do. But the model was not just in what Jesus told them but in what he showed them.

We often want things to happen suddenly so we do something suddenly. But the reality is most 'all of the sudden' moments happen because something had been happening continually. Acts 2 we read about the sudden sound of the Holy Spirit but we find in Acts 1 that united prayer had been happening continually. Why should that matter to us? Take a listen and find out!
