We kick of our Summer of Parables with a look at the parable of the lost sheep and Parable of the Talents.

The Loss of Hope as a major theme in the Christian experience leads ultimately to a loss of real hope. Hope is the sure confidence in the ultimate justice and power of God to reconcile the world to his grand finale. It powered the early believers and gave them reason for living beyond the false and alluring promises of this world. Bring back hope.

In this message Seb Lannuzel teaches how in a world of self help and personal development we can be living in our own will power and effort, whereas the life of Christ is available for us, the goal is not too "live for Jesus" but have Him live for you!

Ps Simon McIntyre brings this fantastic message on how love has become the unassailable feeling that is virtually a human right. Love is all you need according to John (Lennon) and Paul (McCartney), but what kind of love? Another John and Paul (the apostles) saw love in a very different light. For them, for us, it is seen in the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross for our sins, and doing the commandments of Christ. A different love, that is richer, deeply and lasting.

Today in the final message from this series on relationships three speakers summarise that at the heart of Church is the word - Community. Ps Simon McIntyre looks at some of the responses of the church to this thought (that we are a family before an organisation) and some of the benefits of community available only to God's church. This is followed by the Lucy and Phil Hubbard rounding the message off with the heart of looking out to our community.

Part 4 of the Art of Relationships series brings a message double header. Randall Lee starts on the topic of “The family of God” which talks about the unintended result of salvation - being in God’s family - and what that means. This is followed by the message “As I have loved you” where Seb Lannuzel shares how as people we can be trying to love others and God, but it's as we encounter the love of God for ourselves that our ability to love is born.
