This Sunday we had something a bit different. Carol led us in looking at loving our neighbour in the context of connection with one another. She spoke a bit to begin with and then again at the end, but in the meantime we had time to chat and eat together round tables. This recording comprises both parts of what Carol said.

This Sunday we had the privilege of hearing from John and Evan. In this recording, John focuses on loving our neighbour, and in particular those who are harder to love. He takes a through a number of Jesus' interactions with people thought of at the time as 'unloveable'. Evan followed up John with his testimony. Jenny's talk today focuses on the 'loving God' element of our current series. In particular she considers God's nature and how that impacts how we react to and live through times of unanswered prayer. During the talk she refers to or recommends two books and a course: 'God on Mute' by Pete Greig, 'The Infographic Bible', and KST theology courses.

Derek is up next in our season of considering Jesus reply to the question of "what is the greatest commandment?" If we are going to take seriously 'loving God and loving neighbour', we can't only love ourselves. Self sacrifice will be required.

In the context of our current season digging deep into the command to Love God | Love Neighbour, David looks back at some of the passages Jesus is referring to when he speaks these words, and then considers one way we can serve God, by serving his people.

As we get further into our season looking at "Loving God | Loving Neighbour", John talks to us about the importance of our commitment to knowing God and knowing his Word.
