A few weeks ago Caesars upset a lot of people by not only changing their status match rules, but also retroactively removing status for people who didn't qualify under the new rules. Thankfully they have now backtracked, making us wonder if they did it out of the kindness in their hearts or because they legally needed to.

In other news we update you on what it was like on the Strip this last weekend including: numbing drinks at Cosmo, Paris Las Vegas construction and the Cosmo's awesomeness. We also discuss waived MGM resort fees with Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, Peppermill's announcement and the ways Resorts World continues to fall short nearly a year after opening.
