After Morocco gained its independence, the country found itself facing new challenges related to state-building. Political actors were divided into nationalist parties debating the right forms of governance. In between a monarchy, symbolizing Moroccan unity and independence, and many failed democratization processes, the country surely underwent many changes and events that shaped its post-independence political system.

Throughout time, films have been a tool to convey different messages to a vast audience. How did Cinema affect history? Did it produce propaganda? What different ideologies and philosophies did it promote throughout history?
