I got to sit down and speak to Daniel Noah of SpectreVision to talk about their work with Nicolas Cage, his connection to the paranormal and the story of how a gang of Hollywood misfits decided to create a production company that make unique genre films.
This is possibly my favourite conversation I've ever had on the podcast, there was something special in the air that day. Daniel may have the best analogy for how Cage works, we talk about being at the centre of thew whirlwind of the instant cult hit, Mandy (Panos Cosmatos, 2018). We discuss the upcoming projects SpectreVision have coming up, No Man Of God (Amber Searley, 2021) which will premiere at this years Tribeca Film Festival and he assures me that The Man With Kaleidoscope Eyes, which is slated to be directed by legendary director, Joe Dante.

This week I'm joined by film writer, podcaster and 90's pop culture obsessive, Becky Darke to talk about Micheal Bay's flag waving, emotionally manipulative disaster movie ARMAGEDDON. We talk about Becky and her family's love for disaster movies, her Coppola credentials and of course Ben Affleck's teeth.

For this bonus episode I sat down with star of Moonrise Kingdom, Jared Gilman to discuss his time working on the film and how it's stayed with him. The lessons he learned. The experiences he had. It was great to chat to Jared and look back on his first film.

This week Jeanette Bår joins me on the hunt for answers on the island of New Penzance when we look at Moonrise Kingdom. This is the first double Coppola film, with both Roman Coppola on writing duties and Jason Schwartzman in front if the camera in Wes Anderson's 60's set coming of age comedy. There's tangents aplenty as well as the usual dive into the guests relationship to the Coppola family.
Jeanette Bår is one third of Sudden Double Deep, the world's best triple bill linked by a world in the title podcast alongside previous guest Daryl Bår and friend of the podcast, Matt Brothers.

This week I'm joined by Catrin Lowe to tussle on the dance floor with Saturday Night Fever (1977), a film that in the minds of many is just boogie down on a Saturday night with your buddies and your best white suit, others a gritty look at 70's Brooklyn. Catrin and myself look at the cultural impact of both this film and it's soundtrack left and tackle some of the more problematic moments.
Catrin is one half of soon to launch podcast Don't You Want Me?, alongside previous guest Rich Nelson (Betamax Video Club) where they'll be looking at the most relatable, intriguing and dysfunctional relationships in film.

This week we're going the distance, getting ready to fly high, beat the meat and drink those raw eggs as I'm joined by Jonathan Foster to talk about the first Talia Shire film in this Coppola journey. The focus of this episode is the John G. Alvidsen directed, Rocky (1979) starring Sylvester Stallone. We talk about Jonathan's time living in Philly, the cultural impact of Rocky and I share my dismissal of the entire franchise.
Jonathan Foster works at one of the UK's most beloved cinemas The Prince Charles Cinema and hosts a bevvy of podcasts including The Pod Charles Cinecast and TALLTALKS.

Welcome to the family. After Petros watched, reviewed and lost his mind watching every Nicolas Cage film. It's time to look at the Coppola family, whether it's Francis Ford Coppola or Patricia…
Each week Petros is joined by a guest where they discuss their relationship with the Coppola family and dissect a film in order to piece together their mark on cinema history.
