Sermon at Summer Salt on July 26th, 2022. My voice did not want to cooperate :)

Jesus was different because he was God. He knew that his Father had all power and authority on heaven and earth and sometimes he chose to act like it. Today we see Jesus act like death and disease don't exist and imagine the day that they are defeated forever.

"Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'get up, take your mat and walk'? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins."
In this story, Jesus shows the world what he thinks is most important. He shows that he can forgive sins and he shows that he is God.

In episode 4 look at how David waited for 15 years after defeating Goliath to become King of Israel and think about how we can use that patience and trust in God to keep his promises in our lives today.

In episode 3 we discover how David had been prepared by God to fight a giant. We see that it isn't the best or the most talented that God uses but instead the ones who follow him.

In episode 2 we look at the story of Jerico and decide if we will follow God's plan even when it seems like our plan is better.

This story takes us on a journey with the Israelites into the promised land for the first time. We will see that God was with his people in powerful ways and discover the role of the ark of the covenant in the bible.
