King David himself wrote this third Psalm when he was forced to flee from his own son's seditious and murderous rebellion against his throne, and against his life. So, there is a fleeing away from a woeful situation for David, but what we will understand in this Psalm, is that it immediately caused David to flee to the Lord even through this prayerful Psalm---1.
