Following immediately on from the miracle of feeding the four thousand, the Pharisees demand more miracles in their unbelief, the disciples are warned about the leaven of the Pharisees, and are then rebuked concerning their own unbelief. We come now to consider the Sons of Ham, and we find that we are shown many many ancient nations which fill the books of Archaeology and Ancient History. These are the first Civilizations, Kingdoms, and Empires that the world ever knew, for they take place in the the Fertile Crescent of the Middle and Near East. After a few days of preaching to the multitude, that the Lord once again has great compassion upon their physical hunger and undertakes to feed them by a miraculous work.
