We continue our examination of Question 11 by using part of Rev. - Brakel's work on Divine Providence, taken from his magnum opus, The Christian's Reasonable Service.

In this passage, Paul declares that there are holy works to be maintained by a born-again believer. These works are an expression of God's saving work in the life of a sinner, not a way of trying to earn salvation. We will hear the Gospel call from this and the preceding verses, in five points---1. The Life Of A True Convert-2. The Need Of True Conversion-3. The Method Of A Lasting Conversion-4. The Maintenance Of Works After Conversion-5. Assurance Of True Conversion

In this season of Thanksgiving, it is important to note that humble gratitude is an exemplary character trait, but it should also form part of the life of every born-again Christian. Paul, in writing to the believers at Ephesus, exhorts, encourages, and downright challenge them to give --thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--. Easier said than done. Let us hear what the Lord teaches us from this portion of His Word.

Question 11 continues the answer to question 8 which says that God carries out His eternal plans in creation and providence. What is Providence, actually- We hope to answer that in today's Bible Class in 2 ways---1. The Divine Preservation of Creation-2. The Divine Presiding over Creation

The Three Persons of the Godhead work out the salvation of Jew and Gentile, by grace through faith, by the same Gospel. Each needs a Mediator, a Comforter and a Progenitor -Father--

Description- The Pharisees fasted twice a week, and it would appear that John taught his disciples to follow this practice. However, Christ's disciples did not follow this rule. So, when they were accused of not fasting by the Pharisees, the Saviour explains that they cannot fast while He is with them, and then goes on to teach the meaning of true fasting, using imagery from a traditional Jewish wedding.
